Partners - Future Shop
Future Shop provides tremendous support to Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Vancouver and Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada. Not only are they strong supporters behind many of our fundraising events, many times they have gotten directly involved by generously donating their time, man power, and equipment to our cause. Just in the past month, almost 40 members of Future Shop staff came together in a work party renovating our Camp Potlatch.
Can Tech
Future Shop has also supported BGCC by working together with Microsoft Canada to support a national Boys and Girls Club learning program called Can Tech. This exciting program gives club members throughout Canada access to computer technology tools and training that will help them become the leaders of the future. Future Shop provided Boys and Girls Clubs across Canada with 400 computer systems to create or upgrade Technology Centres in 95 Clubs and provided technical support expertise to the process.

Future Leaders - Scholarships for Today's Youth
The Future Leaders program is another Future Shop collaboration with Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada. It provides past and present BGCC members accross Canada with academic scholarships for their post secondary education.

The "Future Grants" program offers grants to Boys and Girls Clubs across Canada for the purchase of Future Shop products to assist with club fundraising or for use in club programs.
Future Shop, in partnership with LG Electronics, has also provided local Boys and Girls Clubs across Canada with brand-new fridges and stoves in 2003 through "Kids in the Kitchen". Thanks to this partnership, 100 clubs each received a donation of an LG fridge or microwave oven in support of club programs that provide healthy meals and snacks for kids and education about the importance of good nutrition. |
