Partners - Canada Safeway Foundation The Canada Safeway Foundation is committed to supporting initiatives that feed, protect and nurture children and families in Western Canada. The strength of CSF is in its ability to bring together the diverse skills of companies, organizations and individuals, all around the shared belief in and commitment to community. Since 2002, that has resulted in over $3,000,000 of support to community-based organizations from Thunder Bay, Ontario to Victoria, BC.
In 2005, the Canada Safeway Foundation launched the Safeway Sends Kids to Camp initiative to provide meaningful camp experiences to children in Western Canada. That initiative was rooted in the knowledge and belief that a wilderness summer camp experience can be life changing, and that every child deserves that opportunity. This tremendous vision and outstanding commitment to children and youth has resulted in invaluable opportunities and life changes for kids across Western Canada.
Since the Canada Safeway Foundation has become a partner of Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Vancouver in 2005, they have contributed over 2.5 million dollars to our work. Part of that funding has resulted in a newly renovated Camp Potlatch kitchen and the expansion and refitting of the Camp Potlatch Dining Hall.
